Kat Walk: A New Way To See And Understand Place
I invite you on an exploration of the UNESCO World Heritage town of Rjukan where I will combine my knowledge of architecture and understanding of place with my love of art.
We begin our journey in ‘Adminiparken’ (Admini Park) where I share my personal approach to seeing and understanding place as both an artist and architect.
As we start to explore the town together, we will be Interacting with both the solidity and fragility of the monumental architecture and the surrounding nature. Using movement, light, shadow, form, colour, texture as our drawing materials, I will guide us in ways of how we can use art to explore the changes the town is continuously undergoing.
During our walk I also share a little of the history of the individual buildings and Rjukan.

Kat Walk: A Sensory Wandering In Nature
I invite on a creative journey. A sensory wandering out into nature and into your inner world.
We begin our journey in the studios, where I will share with you my personal approach to drawing as a way of encountering the world. We will explore notions of how to use drawing to record the experiential rather than the visual.
We will then move outdoors. With the UNESCO World Heritage town of Rjukan and Hardangervidda National Mountain Park as our backdrop we continue our meanderings fully immersed and present in our environment.
Using sound, light, shadow and movement as our focus and experimental drawing as our tool to raise awareness about ourselves, we use art to explore nature’s transient moments and how they affect us over time.
No previous drawing experience is necessary.
Group size: min 4 - max 12 participants
Duration : 1.5 - 2 hours
